Who we are

This privacy policy covers the website molntek.com, operated by Molnsys AB (org.nr: [to be filled]), a Swedish limited company with its registered office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What data we collect and why

When you visit the website

We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. This helps us improve the content and user experience. The analytics data is:

  • Anonymous — we do not track individual users across sites
  • Limited to essential metrics — page views, referral sources, time on page
  • Stored locally — your browser stores the consent preference; we do not build user profiles

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels for third-party ad networks, or any form of cross-site tracking.

When you fill out the contact form

We collect the information you provide: your name, work email, company, what service you’re interested in, and your message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties.

When you subscribe to the newsletter

Email addresses collected through the newsletter signup are sent to Beehiiv, our newsletter platform. Beehiiv uses them only to deliver the weekly newsletter. You can unsubscribe with one click in every issue. The newsletter list is separate from our client list; we do not use newsletter subscribers for sales outreach.

As a Swedish company subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — analytics cookies require your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by rejecting cookies via the banner at the bottom of the page.
  • Contractual necessity — contact form submissions are processed to respond to your inquiry, which is a pre-contractual step.
  • Legitimate interest — analytics data is processed to improve our website, which is a legitimate interest balanced against your privacy rights.

Data retention

  • Contact form data — retained until we have responded to your inquiry and any follow-up is complete, then deleted. Maximum retention: 12 months from initial contact.
  • Newsletter data — retained until you unsubscribe. Stored by Beehiiv according to their privacy policy.
  • Analytics data — stored by the analytics provider according to their retention policies. We do not maintain our own analytics database.
  • Cookie consent preference — stored in your browser for 365 days.

Your rights under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

Data transfers

We are based in Sweden (EU/EEA). Your data may be transferred to:

  • Beehiiv — newsletter platform, based in the United States. Beehiiv operates under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Analytics providers — if Google Analytics or similar services are configured, data may be transferred to the United States. Currently, analytics is not active (no GA4 ID is configured).

All transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
